Cara is the primary facilitator for trainings and workshops  under the  LeadingBetter™ brand including the LeadingBetter™ Summit. At any given moment, Cara is either teaching or learning – and many times both at the same time.

Cara comes with over 15 years of experience in education as a former high school teacher in Chicago and Seattle and a learning and development leader in Louisville. Working on the change management team at Wiley, Cara found a natural fit in the world of corporate learning and development.  In her most recent role as an HR Consultant at LINAK, Cara translated learning theory into real-world training applications in a manufacturing environment and implemented behavioral coaching, mentorship programs, and change management strategies for teams. Curiosity is at the heart of Cara’s professional work; her focus in any classroom setting is to raise the collective intelligence of the room through discovery, community, and application.

Born and raised in sweet home Alabama, she has spent nearly a decade in Louisville embedding herself in the arts community. In her spare time, Cara performs with contemporary modern dance companies and is constantly discovering new ways that movement enables healing and builds community. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Alabama.
